General Dentistry
We offer all the standard general dentistry services including crowns, bridges, fillings (both amalgam and "tooth-colored"), along with dentures, partials, and preventive dentistry. We offer sedation dentistry (oral medications and nitrous oxide) for the fearful patient, cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics, bleaching, and laser dentistry for adults and children.
Laser/Perio
Lasers are the latest trend in dental treatments and minimizing discomfort. Lasers are high-technology devices that generate a beam of light in short pulses to remove areas of infection or tooth decay with great precision. It is nearly pain free and vibration free! They are used on hard tissue (teeth), soft tissue (gums), and for light curing dental materials, biostimulation, and bleaching.
Procedures lasers are used for include bacterial reduction and sulcular debridement, apthous ulcers and cold sore treatment, biopsies, treatment for periodontal disease, hemostatic assistance in extractions and other soft tissue procedures, crown lengthening, laser curettage, fibrous tissue removal, frenectomy, gingivoplasy, tissue retraction, abscess treatment and drainage, and any other soft tissue surgical procedures.
Benefits of the laser include greater precision, faster healing, reduced risk of infection, decreased sensitivity, less bleeding, less post-poerative pain, less noise than traditional drills, no vibration, increased conservation of healthy tissue whether hard or soft, less or no anesthesia, and a lot less time in the dental chair, which everyone likes very much. Whitening
The whitening process will take a series of three appointments.
- At the first appointment impressions are taken to construct special custom trays for the whitening agent to fit in.
- The second appointment is to check the shade of your smile at the start of your treatment and to deliver trays, the whitening kit and directions.
- You will then return to our office for one more visit. That is to check the shade of your new smile!
The cost is $350.00. This includes all three appointments, trays, MI Paste and whitening kit.
Most patients experience sensitivity to some degree although there are some who experience none. To relieve the sensitivity you should wear your trays one to two hours either before or after your night time/daytime whitening with the MI Paste provided with your kit. This will minimize or completely stop the sensitivity. Your comfort is important so please let us know if you are experiencing too much discomfort. Few patients are unable to complete the process.
If you have chose the 20% agent, please wear your trays daily for 10-14 days for a minimum of 2 hours a day to a maximum of 8 or 9 hours a day.
If you have chose the 35% agent, please wear your trays daily for 10-14 days for maximum of 30 minutes a day.

As with all of our services, any needed restorative treatment is done with your comfort our foremost priority. Nitrous Oxide, music through head phones, and pillows for your head and neck are all available to keep you comfortable.

Cancer Screening
At every visit, a visual oral cancer screening is performed. This screening is with natural light and the naked eye. In addition, our practice has recently invested in a state-of-the-art VELscope® system. As part of our conventional oral cancer examination, it can literally help us discover potentially dangerous tissue that we might otherwise miss. An oral cancer examination with a VELscope® screening takes very little time, involves no pain or inconvenience, and is very affordable.
