Dr. Craig Long  

Dr. Craig LongDr. Long received his DDS degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1979.  He received his BA from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1975.  He grew up in Perry, Missouri and attended Mark Twain High School. 

He returned to his native area and purchased the practice of Dr. Steve Whisler, his family dentist.  Dr. Long is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Orthodontic Society, International Orthodontic Society, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Institute of Advanced Laser Dentistry, and Academy of Facial Pain.  He is a Certified Instructor for the Institute of Advanced Laser Dentistry and has taught and lectured on Laser Dentistry in several states.  He has published articles in local, state, and international journals.  He has received numerous recognitions and awards in Laser Dentistry.  He has received recognition as one of the top dentists in the United States by the National Institute of Consumer Dentistry, Washington, DC.

Dr. Long has three children Chrissy, Brian and Megan along with his wife Tish and three stepchildren Madison, Davis and Riley.  Dr. Long has a passion for classic Mustangs and enjoys flying, scuba, boating and fishing.

Tara Twellman, Dental Hygienist

Tara Tara received her AAS degree in Dental Hygiene from Saint Louis Community College in Forest Park in 2007. Prior to becoming a registered dental hygienist, Tara also worked as a dental assistant and has been in involved in the dental care field for twelve years. While a student, Tara was a member of Phi Theta Kappa, National Honor Society and the Academic Dean’s List. Professionally, she holds both Missouri licensure and National Board Certification in Dental Hygiene. Showing her commitment to providing excellent dental care, Tara has also volunteered in the dental clinic at the Lincoln County Health Department and with the GiveKidsASmile program with the Greater St. Louis Dental Society. Tara and her husband, Brian, live in rural Lincoln County. Our patients are sure to appreciate Tara’s warmth and bright smile.

Leann Worsley, Dental Hygienist

Leann WorsleyLeann is a graduate of Saint Louis Community College in Forest Park, graduating in 2008 with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene. As a student, Leann was on the Academic Dean’s List. She is a member of the American Dental Hygienist Society, Missouri Dental Hygienist Society and the Greater St. Louis Dental Hygienist Society. Leann holds both Missouri licensure and National Board Certification in Dental Hygiene. Her volunteer efforts include Dinosaur Doings and GiveKidsASmile with the Greater St. Louis Dental Society. Leann credits wearing braces as a teenager with piquing her interest in the dental field. A lifelong resident of Troy, Leann enjoys heading north each week to Vandalia. When you visit our office, be sure and catch Leann’s winning smile and sunny disposition.

Carla Burnett , Dental Clinician

Carla Burnett
Carla has been a Dental Assistant for Dr. Long since 1986. She is certified in Dental Radiology and has successfully completed the Dental Skills Mastery Examination to perform expanded functions within the dental practice.

Carla is married with two grown children, and three grandchildren.

Tara has been a Dental Clinician for the office of Dr. Craig Long since January of 1989.  She graduated from Bryan Institute in St. Louis, MO. in February 1989.  She is certified in Dental Radiology and has completed the A.D.A. Accredited Basic Skills Mastery Examination to perform expanded functions within the Dental Practice. Tara is married and has three beautiful daughters.



Christy Lowrance, Dental Clinician

Christy was trained as a Dental Assistant at Dr. Long's. She worked for him from 1985 to 1988.  She has been away from the dental field for several years to raise her three boys but has since retrained by completing the A.D.A Accredited Basic Skills Mastery Examination and rejoined Dr. Long's staff as a Dental Clinician in 2003. 



Kerrie Wohlbold, Hygiene Coordinator

Kerrie Wohlbold

As Hygiene Coordinator, Kerrie schedules preventive care appointments for our patients. She assists patients wanting to reserve appointments to see our hygienists. Kerrie grew up in Laddonia. She enjoys playing golf, going to Cardinals games, Mizzou games and Jaguars football games.



Lisa Otis, Receptionist and Financial Coordinator

Lisa has been a dental receptionist for Dr. Long since 1997. Lisa handles all front office duties. She will be the one scheduling your appointment, filing your insurance and handling any insurance questions you might have, handling collections, and helping with financial payment options. Lisa has two children.
